On the occasion of Karam, CM announces plantation programme of 60K Karam plants across the state

Ranchi: Song, dance, music and nature worship is the identity of Jharkhand. Many trees like neem, peepal, Karam etc. have been associated with festivals and rituals. In view of the importance of the Karam tree, 60 thousand Karam Plants are being planted in the state, which started today. The Chief Minister said these in Karam Puja Ceremony. 

He said that last year, Karam tree plantations were announced in Karam puja in Jamshedpur. The tree of this rare species will be planted by campaigning throughout the state. Our ancestors have given us green Jharkhand and cultural heritage. Tribals have made the biggest contribution to protecting the environment. It is our duty to give green Jharkhand to the next generation. We need to be vigilant to save our culture.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made plans by keeping the village, poor and farmers in view. Ujjwala scheme is launched to protect women from toxic fumes. In this, free gas connections are being given to women. Jharkhand government is giving gas stove and first refill free along with LPG gas cylinder. So far, 23 lakh households have been given gas connections in the state. By December, 34 lakh families will get the benefit. Electricity will be provided to 68 lakh families of the state by December. By October 2, electricity will reach to every household of Ramgarh. By October 11 Bokaro district will also be fully electrified.

The Chief Minister said that the Central Government has done the work of giving constitutional status to the Backward Commission for the first time since independence. Farmers are being given one and a half times the cost of the crop as a minimum rate. The Chief Minister appealed to all people to reach Prabhat Tara ground on September 23, 2018. On this day, the Prime Minister will start the world's largest health insurance scheme from Jharkhand. It will give health insurance to 50 crore people across the country. Of the 68 lakh families in the state, 57 lakh families will be covered. This will help poor to get treatment without stressing over money. 

The Chief Minister said that the work of Ring Road and Ranchi-Jamshedpur road will get faster soon. For this, the state government has sought permission from the Hon'ble Court to get the work done from another contractor. The work will be done soon after permission. In view of the demand of the people, the Chief Minister announced the construction of the path from Kanke Ring Road Bridge to Kolhe Kandu of Pithoria Chandwe Main Path. He said that this will connect the village to the ring road.In the beginning of the program the Chief Minister worshipped Sarna flag and planted Karam tree. In the program, Ranchi MP Ramatahal Chaudhary, Kanke MLA Dr. Jitucharan Ram, Head of the Forest Sanjay Kumar, Pahan Sadhan Oraon and a large number of villagers were present.
