20 children rescued from traffickers brought from New Delhi

Ranchi: 20 children hit by trafficking have been brought to Ranchi from the national capital. A team or Ranchi CWC brought these 20 children from different shelter homes of New Delhi.

Four days ago a team led by Ranchi district child protection officer Sewak Ram, CWC member Srikant Kumar along with 10 policemen had gone to Delhi to bring back these children. Among the rescued included 16 girls of which 2 are adults while remaining are boys.

In Ranchi after counselling all were sent to temporary shelter homes. CWC chairman Rupa Kumari said that among the rescued two are from Ranchi rest from other districts. She said that most number seven is from Gumla district while the remaining are from West Singbhum Palamu Pakur Chaibasa Bokaro etc. 

She said that soon another 17 more children would be brought from Delhi as the paperwork in CWC Delhi could not be completed so the remaining children could not be released.
