To ditch Mahagathbandhan if JVM(P) does not get Godda seat: Babulal

Dumka: In a growing sign of differences between the parties in mahagathbandhan former Chief Minister and JVM(P) supremo Babulal Marandi today categorically said that he was ready to part ways if his party did not get the Godda Lok Sabha seat to contest as part of the agreement between the parties.

Addressing a Press Conference at the Circuit House here he said that since Congress was the national party, therefore, the final decision would be taken by it. He said that if Congress wants to stop BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi then it should have a larger heart and leave its claim on Godda seat.

Mr. Marandi said that his party has the most natural claim on the seat and even if the Congress party got the seat it would not be able to win as in 2014 also Congress had contested from Godda in alliance with JMM, RJD and JD (U) but could not emerge victorious while on the other hand JVM on its own had given a strong performance.
