Solar power plants of 20 MW and 1 MW will be set up in every district of the state

Ranchi: To overcome the power crisis of Jharkhand, it has been decided to promote solar energy. The Energy Department is preparing for this.

After the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, it has been decided that one solar power plant each of 20 MW and 01 MW will be set up in all 24 districts of the state which means a total of 48 solar power plants will be established. 

For this, instructions have been given to the officials to identify about 60 to 100 acres and 04 to 05 acres of land in one go. For setting up a solar power plant, the Department of Energy will ensure the speedy execution of related land transfer, forest cover cases.

The Energy Department has been asked to use rooftop technology, it will be installed on more and more buildings. The Energy Department is currently making necessary preparations for setting up a solar power plant at Lalpania in Bokaro. The state government has asked the officials to complete the action for this soon.

Efforts are being made to make Jharkhand self-sufficient in electricity in the coming years so that dependence on traditional electricity can be reduced.
