At CM initiative 90 percent subsidy will be given to women under Pashudhan Vikas Yojana

Ranchi: Following the order of the Chief Minister Hemant Soren work towards strengthening the economic conditions of the rural population by extending them the benefits of the Mukhyamantri Pasudhan Vikas Yojana has begun within a week.

Due Amendments have been made to the subsidies that are to be given to the beneficiaries under the subscheme run by the Directorate of Gavya Vikas with its set target to give thrust to Animal Husbandry in the state. Under the umbrella of this scheme women belonging to families that are affected by disasters, fire or road accidents, abandonment or are Divyangs shall be given two milch animals namely cows and buffaloes at a subsidy of 90 percent.

Prior to this, the same was being provided to the beneficiaries at 50 percent subsidy. Following the order of the Chief Minister grants for various schemes run under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry such as for Goat Rearing, Swine Rearing, Backyard Poultry Rearing, Broiler Poultry Rearing, Duck- Chick Rearing, Cow Rearing have been amended. Except for the Widows, Childless Couple and Divyangs all other beneficiaries are to get 75 percent grant.

Prior to this 50 percent subsidy was being given. Under the sub-schemes of Kamdhenu Dairy Farming Scheme the subsidy being provided to the beneficiaries coming from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes for procuring 5 milch animals namely cows and buffaloes under the Mini Dairy scheme, and 10 milch animals under the Mini Dairy Scheme has been increased from 33.33 percent to 75 percent. At the same time, the subsidy given to the beneficiaries coming from other categories except that of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes has been increased from 25 to 50 percent.

Further, amendments have been made in subsidies that are to be given to the beneficiaries for chaff cutter distribution and progressive farming practices. The earlier set subsidy of 50 percent for manual chaff cutters has been enhanced to 90 percent for beneficiaries belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes as well as the Milk Producers Society.

At the same time, 75 percent grant has been earmarked for all other castes except the beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Whereas, 90 percent subsidy is decided to be given to beneficiaries coming from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and Milk Producers Society to help them procure Milking Machines, Paneer- Khoya Machines, Cow mats and getting boring done, whereas a subsidy of 75 percent is to be provided to others in order to encourage Progressive Farming Practices in the state.
