PM flags off Tatanagar Baadam Pahar DEMU train

Jamshedpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Tatanagar Baadam Pahar DEMU passenger train from Baripada of Odisha
while Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Raghubar Das were present at a function organised in this regard at Tatanagar Railway station. 

Speaking on the occasion the Governor said that it was the second train service which has been started on the route after 107 years including more than 70 years of Independence. She said that Tata Baadam has its own place in history. She said that the iron ore for plants of Tata Steel comes from Baadam Pahar Gurumahishni and Sulaipat which has helped to develop the area for which the railway line was built in 1910. She said that the people are extremely happy after the launch of the train service. She said that the distance between Tatanagar and Badaam Pahar is just 70-80 kilometers so the people are more dependent on Tatanagar.

Ms Murmu said that Baadam Pahar was a tribal dominated area and train would ensure socio-economic development of the area and also ensure business and trade development ultimately the people of the area will be directly or indirectly benefitted. The governor suggested that Gurumahishni which also has iron ore mines should be linked to Keyonjhar and also stressed on the need to build a double line in the area. 

Addressing the function Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was committed to answer all the issues of railway connectivity and UDAN yojana. He said that the central and the state government were both working for the all round development of the state. He said that all the demands of the people of Jharkhand have been addressed by the Prime Minister. He said that the government was focussed on solving the problems of the people and the Prime Minister was worried for the welfare of
the poor women and the youth and said that Prime Minister was working as the Pradhan Sevak for the betterment of the people.

He also lauded efforts of Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Baran Mahto for his works as an active elected representatives and sais that long pending demand of railway gate has been completed. The Chief Minister said that efforts would be made to construct a double line till
Keyonjhar. Those present on the occasion included Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Baran Mahto Potka Mla Menka Sardar and other senior officials.
