Secretary Rural Development reviews progress in implementation of schemes

Ranchi: Secretary Rural Development Department Manish Ranjan through video conferencing directed all the Deputy Development Commissioners and all Block Development Officers to speed up the schemes run by the Central and State Governments and to solve the problems of the villagers.

During a video conferencing with the officials, he discussed how the benefits of the schemes can reach to the last person and asked them to ensure that the schemes being operated should be completed in time.

The Secretary asked the officers to work promptly for solving the problems of the public and ensure successful implementation of the schemes so that the general public is not deprived of the benefits of the schemes. In order to review the development plans, all the DDCs and BDOs were instructed by the Secretary to organize people courts at the block level to solve the problems of the common people and asked them fix time to meet the public every day.

In the review programme, the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme was reviewed by the Secretary, in which he expressed displeasure over the slow pace and all the Block Development Officers were instructed to speed up the work of PMAY.

During this, he was directed to complete the pending housing projects within the time limit. During the meeting progress in Mnrega schemes were also reviewed by the Secretary and instructions were given to operate schemes and create employment in each village under Mnrega. The Secretary instructed all the DDCs that there should not be any negligence in Mnrega work they should complete the target set by the government in time.

He also gave several other guidelines including organizing a meeting of the coordination committee at the block level. Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B, Additional Secretary Ram Kumar Sinha and others were present on the occasion.
