Ranchi DC and SSP conduct mask checking drive in capital

Ranchi: In wake of the second wave of Coronavirus the district administration is adopting all possible measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic as part of which DC Chhavi Ranjan and Ranchi SSP Surendra Kumar Jha conducted mask checking drive in the city.

The duo conducted the mass checking drive in areas located near PP Compound and Sujata Chowk during which they directed the shop owners to follow guidelines which have been issued by the government.

During the drive people who were caught without masks they were sent in vehicles to Covid test centers to get tested. The DC asked the shop keepers to make sure that no one is allowed to enter without wearing masks and posters of no mask, no entry was also pasted outside the shops.

He also asked the shop owners to shut their shops after 8pm in the night. He urged the people to follow the necessary precautions in battle against Coronavirus including wearing masks, using sanitizers and maintaining social distancing.

He warned that action will be taken if the shops and business establishments will be caught violating the guidelines. Ranchi SDO Sameera S and others were present during the campaign.
