People are masters in democracy says Chief Minister

Pakur (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that people were the masters in democracy as it is they  who have voted to make a strong and stable government in the state and asked them to be aware towards their rights and come forward to take the benefits of the schemes, policies and programmes of the state government. Addressing the Jan Chaupal organised in Ranbahiyar village of Littipada panchayat of this district he said despite several decades of Independence no one worried about the 67,000 primitive tribes family which was done by his government and in the next four months their villages would be equipped with all
the basic amenities including water storage tanks, solar lights and drinking water through pipelines while 625 homes under the Birsa
Aawas Yojana would be also constructed in the city.

The Chief Minister said that in the budget of 2019-20 the state government will Rs 25 lakh for the development of the tribal villages. He said that under the Ujjwala Yojana Jharkhand was the only state which has made provision of Rs 300 crore additionally so that the women can be given gas stove along with the LPG connections. He said that beautification of Kanchangarh Pahadia village will be done and budget would be also allocated for the beautification of Dharti Pahar and Prakrit Vihar as the state government was committed to protecting the historic spots of the area.

During the programme, one Sahabram Tudu demanded that a para teacher be appointed in the village school over which Mr Das said that fake rumours have been spread regarding the recruitment in Chhattisgarh whereas in reality advertisements were issued at panchayat level for the appointment of teachers. He said that the state government has already increased the payment to the para teachers by 20 percent while their retirement age was increased to 60 years among other benefits. He said that it is no way possible to appoint them as permanent teachers and asked the para teachers to return back to jobs or in their place, TET pass youth would be appointed.

He asked the farmers to adopt organic farming and assured all possible help from the state government as the use of fertilizers also impact the soil quality. He said that the scientists who had attended the global agriculture and food summit also advocated the need to encourage organic farming and also advocated them to adopt drip method of irrigation and said that in all the districts experts would be sent to train the farmers.

On the occasion, he also announced that seven women farmers from the district would be sent to Israel. Mr Das said that after 67 years of Independence only 38 grids were constructed against the need of 114 grid due to which power scenario was bad in the state however his government started the work.
