Ranchi (By our correspondent): Yog Guru Baba Ramdev said that Patanjali would run the mega food park located in Getalsud of
Jharkhand and assured that that by the year 2020 Patanjali would be the largest FMCG company in the nation and by 2025 would be the world’s biggest brand.
Addressing the valedictory session of the Global Agriculture and Food Summit here he said the challenges in the agriculture sector were converted into opportunities by the state government which coupled with the hard work of the farmers due to which the state managed to see a turn around a reported a historic jump of 19 percent in agriculture growth in the last four years. He said that no matter how much honey Jharkhand produces the same would be brought by Patanjali. The Yog Guru asked the state government to focus more on the cultivation of organic products including food grains wheat rice pulses oil seeds herbs and assured
that they all would be also purchased by Patanjali as it will not only lead to prosperity of the farmers but would also ensure a healthy
life to the people.
He said that soon a joint venture would be inked between the state government and Patanjali to set up a honey processing plant in the state. Baba Ramdev said that he was a farmer by birth and a sanyasi by his work and asked the farmers present on the spot to take a pledge not to use chemical laden fertilizers in their fields and indulge more in organic farming. He said that dairy production also has lots of possibility in the state and more focus needed to be accorded in this area and promised that all the milk produced by the state will also be brought by Patanjali.
The Yog Guru said that if the farmers to progress than only the nation can become developed however in the race of industrialization especially in Jharkhand the farmers were neglected due to which the agriculture sector had lagged behind but things have changed under the new government. On the occasion, he also announced that on the occasion of the International Yoga Day in 2019 he would be organizing a three-day camp in Ranchi. Later addressing the press conference he said that all formalities for running the Mega food park would be completed by December and Patanjali would commence work in the year 2019. He said that he has also set the second Acharyakulam in Ranchi which has the capacity of 3,000 students who would be provided education from L KG where students would be taught 10- 12 hours.
