Four sitting MLAs and an ex MP make Tata Main Hospital release two bodies kept for non-payment of medical bills

Jamshedpur: It took the combined strength of four sitting MLAs of the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and an ex-MP to force the management of Tata Main Hospital to release the two bodies which it had kept for the last 48 hours for nonpayment of bills.

As per the information received the hospital management had denied giving the bodies of Latika Mahto (19) a resident of Dumaria Narsingh Bahal and Janki Murmu (8) of Gulam Pahadpur as their respective family members could not pay the medical bills of the hospital.

After receiving information JMM MLA Ramdas Soren (Ghatshila), Sameer Mohanty (Behragora), Sanjeev Sardar (Potka) and Mangal Kalindi (Jugsalai) along with former Jamshedpur MP Suman Mahto reached at the gates of the hospital and demanded to release the bodies.

Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren later also spoke to Vice president of Tata Steel Chanakya Chowdhary and later held a dialogue with the General Manager and senior officials of the hospital after which the hospital authorities waived off a sum worth nearly Rs 2.50 lakh owed by kin of Janki Murmu and another Rs 2.25 owed by family members of Latika Mahto.

The leaders said that the hospital management has agreed and without any further delay has released the bodies.
