Rain and thunderstorms continue in state on Sunday

Ranchi: On Sunday also rain and thunderstorms continued to lash the state and it is expected that the weather would remain the same way till July 15.

The MET department has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall and lightning in some of the areas. On Sunday the state capital of Ranchi and many other districts witnessed strong rainfall due to which normal life was thrown out of gear in these areas.

According to the weather department between June 1 to July 10 the average rainfall in the state is around 310 mm and so far this year 311 mm of rainfall had occurred. Out of the 24 districts in 18 more than normal or normal rainfall has been recorded while in another 6 districts average rainfall has been reported.

The weather in the state for the next 3-4 days is unlikely to see any change and in the North-Western Regions heavy rainfall has been predicted.
