Ramgarh ranks first in PMAY execution across country, Jamtara second

Ranchi: The state is performing better as far as execution of Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana was concerned as out of the top 20 districts in the country, 9 are from Jharkhand including Ramgarh and Jamtara which ranks on first and second position respectively.

The other districts of the state which have managed to come in the list of performance index included Bokaro, Giridih, Palamu, Khunt, Saraikela, West Singhbhum and Simdega.

The Ramgarh district had received a target of 7,144 schemes for 2016-19 while in 2020-21 was 1,662 and overall the district has completed 6,983 schemes. Jamtara had received a target of 19,387 schemes out of which 18,722 schemes have been completed.

The districts are included in the performance index on the basis of their performances on five parameters which included training of masons, organising Gram Sabha, PWL in Gram panchayat, Aadhar registration and house allocation.

Ramgarh DC Sandeep Singh has expressed his delight towards the achievement and has given the credit to the entire team of district administration.
