Forces involved in religious conversion are once again active in state: BJP

Ranchi: State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that forces involved in religious conversion are once again active in the state.

He said that during lockdown numerous instances had been reported regarding these anti-national forces luring the innocent tribals into religious conversions.  Pratul pointed out that instance of Kulgada village of Latehar district where the people have accused Arsen Tirkey and his relatives of forcible religious conversions.

He said that since long such types of conspiracies are going on in the state and these anti-national forces take advantage of poverty and illiteracy among the people. He said that the previous BJP regime had made strict laws against such religious conversions.
