Ranchi: Former cabinet minister and sitting MLA from Jamshedpur East Saryu Rai has demanded action over illegal iron ore mining in Saranda.
In a tweet, Mr Rai said that a company had undertaken illegal iron ore mining in Saranda which was than held in the knowledge of the than mines secretary and mines minister. However, on that, no action was taken and asked sitting Chief Minister Hemant Soren if he wished to take action over the matter.

Mr Rai said that from April 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017 the company had carried out illegal coal mining in the area. He sought to know from the present Chief Minister as he also held the mines portfolio whether he wished to take action on that.
