Ranchi: Raid was conducted against illegal hoarding of Pan Masala in the state capital during which prohibited substance worth Rs 1.50 lakh was seized.
Under Sukhdeo Nagar Police Station area a raid was conducted at a shop located at Chuna Bhati during which the seizure was made. Ranchi Sadar SDO Lokesh Mishra said that fir against the shop keeper will also be registered in this case.

He said that in wake of dangers posed to health by consuming Pan Masala a ban has been put in the state. He said that the district administration was committed to make sure that the ban is strictly implemented.
He said that the state government has put a ban on sale, storage and distribution of Pan Masala in the state. He said that raids would continue in the capital against sale and storage of Pan Masala.
