Ranchi is out of red zone says DC, only 15 active cases of Coronavirus present

Ranchi: Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpat Rey said that the district has now come out of the red zone as far as the number of Coronavirus patients was considered as there are now just 15 active cases in the district.

Addressing a press conference here he said that Ranchi district has now come in Orange zone which is a big achievement for the district administration. He said that it is a difficult stage to come into the orange zone from red but was achieved due to the teamwork and cooperation of the people.

He said that at present there are only 15 active cases of Coronavirus. He said that on Saturday four more patients have been cured and they soon would go to their homes. The DC said that overall 112 patients were detected in the district out of which 95 have been cured and overall the state ranked at the fourth position as far as Coronavirus patients are considered.

The DC said that on the basis of active cases on per lakh population the state was on 5th rank while in the positivity rate the district was on 6th position as the case positivity rate was 1.18 percent. He said that as far as the doubling rate was concerned the percentage of Ranchi district was better than the state.

He said that while a few days ago the doubling rate was 3.5 percent which due to the efforts of the administration has increased to 57.92 percent. He said that the district was also ahead in the area of testing as nearly 10000 tests have been done whereas the average in the country was 205 test per lakh while in Ranchi it was 285 per lakh.

The DC said that out of 15 cases of Coronavirus in the district 10 are linked with migrant workers.
