Mother and child accidentally fall into well in Gumla

Gumla: A mother along with her child accidentally fell in a well and died at Surhu Badkatoli under Kamdara Police Station area of this district.

The deceased have been identified as Dashmi Mundain and her three-month-old son Niroz Karketta. Locals said that the woman along with her son who was tied on her back was taking out water from the well when she accidentally fell in the well along with her child and both of them drowned.

The incident came to notice when a farmer reached the well to take out water for washing his hands. Soon he raised an alarm after which villagers gathered and took out the bodies and alerted the police.

Later both the bodies were sent to the postmortem.
