First train carrying trapped workers reaches Jharkhand, administration and rail authorities welcome with Roses and mask

Ranchi: In a major relief the first train carrying trapped workers from Telangana reached the Hatia railway station.

Prior to the arrival of the train, a high-level meeting was held at the Hatia railway station which was attended by Transport Secretary K Ravi Kumar, DC Ranchi Rai Mahimpet Rey, SSP Anish Gupta, ADRM Ajit Singh Yadav, Railway CPRO Neeraj Kumar, Senior DCM Avnish and RPF Commandant Prashant Singh.

The authorities had asked none of the relatives of the workers to come and to receive them at the station as the labourers were to be taken to their homes in the buses which had been arranged by the administration.

Further briefing of all the bus staff was also done before the departure of the buses. The workers of a particular district were assigned to a particular bus for which announcements were made by mikes and the workers were seated accordingly.

The Train reached  Chakradharpur at 8 pm where packed dinner was served to all the people on the train there.  Upon arrival, each migrant worker was welcomed with a mask and a flower of Rose

Further Thermal Screening was conducted along with videography of the entire process was made. The administration had made arrangements for 60 buses, all sanitized with 25-28 seating ensuring physical distancing measures in each bus, for onward movement to respective districts, for 1200 workers.

Upon arrival in the districts, each worker were again made to go through proper medical screening and then stamped home Quarantine or sent to institutional Quarantine if deemed necessary.  Over 200 member team including admin officials and health workers and medical screening teams was present at Hatia station. A 200 member police force also be present to ensure all norms are followed at the station till the departure of the buses and the entire arrangements and DC Ranchi was personally monitoring the operation at Hatia Railway Station.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren also visited the railway station along with Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh and had a look at the arrangements. He also had a look at the food packets which were kept for the people coming back.
