People in Hindpiri protest against screening staff, force them to go back

Ranchi: A hundred member screening team of health department which was sent to Hindpiri for conducting tests of the people had to face huge resentment from the people after which they were forced to return.

Hindpiri has been identified as the epicentre of Coronavirus in the city as the first case, a Malaysian woman had tested positive for the disease. In the entire area a Curfew has been also imposed by the administration.

After the team reached the area none of the people agreed to undergo any test and created an uproar following which Sadar SDO himself reached on the spot and interacted with the people but no agreed to his suggestions.
 

The people clearly said that they will not undergo any test after which the team returned back. However later in the day a meeting was held in daily market where it was agreed that people would undergo screening late in the evening.

The people of Hindpiri despite Curfew came down on the roads and indulged in slogan shouting against the district administration after which Additional security personnel were deployed in the area.

Police used mikes to make announcements asking them to remain in their homes. Ward Councillor of the area Sajda Khatoon said no one is infected from the disease in the area and if a medical team will go to each and every home than there was chance of spreading the infection, therefore, the team has been stopped.
