Ranchi: So far two confirmed cases of Coronavirus have been detected in the state.
However, as per the latest data released by the health department, a total of 529 samples of suspected patients had been sent for testing out of which 382 have so far tested negative while results were awaited for another 146.
The department said that at the state level equipment required against Coronavirus including N95 mask, PPE, Triple Layer Mask, VTM Kits and Sanitizers have been provided to the districts.
The health department has set up two dedicated hospitals for the Coronavirus patients at the state level having a combined capacity of 155 non ICU beds and 30 ICU Beds with ventilators whereas at the district level 1449 Non-ICU beds and 209 ICU beds have been identified.
The test of the samples are now being held in MGM Jamshedpur and RIMS Ranchi while efforts are on to commence the tests in PMCH Dhanbad and Itki Ranchi.
According to the health department, the number of passengers who have come from abroad and are under surveillance stood at 1426 while passengers who have completed 28 days of quarantine period stood at 260.
