Ranchi administration goes on high alert, puts up checking at every 500 meters

Ranchi: Security arrangements across the capital have been put on a very high alert mode as the capital recorded its first positive Coronavirus case.

Not only in Jharkhand but across the state security measures have been increased. On the 8th day of the lockdown, the crowd at the vegetable markets was very less. Hindpiri area continues to remain under curfew and not a single person or vehicle is being allowed to get in or come out of the area.

Meanwhile, after the Malaysian woman who tested positive for Coronavirus 39 people have been taken away from the Hindpiri area as the process of screening has commenced. These 39 people are from the homes in which the woman had stayed. 

Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpet Ray said more than 20 teams are involved in screening works and people from all the homes which have been visited by the woman or people with whom she would have contacted will be made to undergo screening.

Meanwhile, across the state capital police have been deployed at every 500 meters for checking who are questioning each and every person and if the people are failing to come up with response than they are not being allowed to go forward.

Meanwhile, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation has launched a campaign to sanitize areas falling under 5 kilometers radius of Hindpiri and since the morning tankers were spotted sanitizing the walls, lanes and even drains.

22 people including 17 foreigners had been caught from two separate mosques of Hindpiri who are associated with Tablighi Jammat.

On Monday they were put in the quarantine facility at Khelgaon and made to undergo tests in which a Malaysian woman had tested positive for Coronavirus while others were negative. On Tuesday evening the woman was admitted at the isolation ward of RIMS.
