Gumla: President Ramnath Kovind visited Bishunpur in Gumla district where he witnessed the programs being conducted by Vikas Bharti in the areas of self-employment and development of agriculture-based Industries and skill development programs.
Speaking on the occasion he said that he was fortunate to have come to Bishunpur which was land of sacrifice, struggle and self-belief.
He said that since the country was changing, therefore, there was a need for the people to change. He asked the people to send their children to school and give them good conduct so that they can make decisions between good and wrong.
The President said that only getting the degree was not the sole goal of education but such a person is only educated who is a good human being. He after interacting with the farmers visited the exhibition and stalls. He also visited the Gandhi museum and interacted with the students and also participated in the plantation drive.
The Chief Minister lauded the performance by Chhau Artist and also participated in group photographs. He described Tana Bhagats as the real followers of Gandhiji. Earlier the President along with Governor and Union Minister garlanded the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at the premises.
