Irfan Ansari threatens to resign over joining of Pradeep Yadav in Congress

Ranchi: Congress party's Jamtara MLA Dr Irfan Ansari threatened to resign from the post of executive president of the party if JVM-P MLA from Poriyhaat Pradeep Yadav is included in the Congress party.

Speaking to the press at the state Congress headquarters here he said that he had come at the office to give his resignation as he had information that Pradeep Yadav will be today joining the party. He said that he had urged the party high command to reconsider the move and despite that, if Yadav is included than he would resign as the executive president of the party.

Irfan said that Pradeep Yadav has been involved in sexual harassment case moreover he is also anti-minorities. He said that if Yadav is included in the party that image of Congress will be hit and claimed that AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have been misguided over his inclusion and therefore to bring out the truth he was going to resign.

He said that since Babulal Marandi is merging with the BJP therefore in search of a new platform Pradeep Yadav is coming to Congress and asked Marandi to take Pradeep Yadav with him. However, Irfan said that he was not opposed to the idea of inclusion of Bandhu Tirkey in the party.
