More than 60 students of Kasturba Balika Vidyalay hospitalised in Chaibasa

Chaibasa: More than 60 students belonging to Kasturba Balika Vidyalay located at Diliyamircha under Muffasil Police Station area of the West Singhbhum district were hospitalised following food poisoning.

Upon receiving information Health Minister Banna Gupta too visited the Sadar Hospital where these girls were admitted prior to that he in a tweet had instructed the civil surgeon to make adequate arrangements for the treatment of these girls. He said that a committee has been directed to be formed and submit a report over the incident.

Out of these girls, 11 of them had to appear in their intermediate exams which they could not as they fell ill. The teachers said that in the morning the girls started complaining of vomiting and loose motions after which a five-member medical team reached the schools after which more than 60 students were admitted to the hospital.

Cabinet Minister Mithlesh Thakur, local MLA Dipak Biruwa, MP Geeta Koda and DC Rarwa Rajkamal also reached the Sadar Hospital and inquired into the incident.
