Emergency food grains fund to be formed in every panchayat of Palamu

Daltonganj (RP Service): In wake to tackle the drought situation in the Palamu district the administration has decided to form contingency food grains fund in every panchayat of the area.

Palamu DC Shantanu Kumar Agrahari said that in all the panchayats these funds would be constituted as the district administration has already commenced its preparations in this regard. He said that apart from the execution of the schemes the administration was geared up to provide all possible help to the people in the situation of drought. He said that to asses the damage caused to the foodgrains by the draught a team had visited the villages and has been instructed to submit the report by November 8. He said that going ahead the administration has already deposited Rs 10,000 as an advance in the account of 283 panchayats and said that people can also directly get in touch with him in case of any problem.

The DC said that all steps are also being taken to ensure that the children get the midday meal ins schools on time and under Dakiya yojana food grains to reach to PTG on time.
