Latehar: A team of the anti-corruption bureau has arrested a head clerk posted in the health department in this district along with a peon while they were taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 red-handed.
A team of the Palamu ACB arrested the head clerk Sanjay Kumar Sinha along with the peon Christopher who was posted at the Civil Surgeon Office located at Mahuadand. The duo had demanded a bribe of Rs 60,000 to ensure the start of the pension of a retired ANM.
The ANM later registered a complaint with the ACB. Post the verification of the complaint a trap was laid and as soon as money exchanged hand the head clerk was nabbed along with the peon. Both the men were later taken away to Daltonganj for further questioning.
