Ramgarh: Police has arrested 10 people after a scuffle broke out between the people and the policemen after recovery of prohibited meat substance near Badkipona railway station under Rajrappa Police Station area of this district.
Police sources said that following a secret tip-off regarding the prohibited substance being sold at three spots a raid was conducted to which the people protested and indulged in stone pelting. After which additional police personnel were called on the spot to disperse the agitators.
In the stone melting four police vehicles were damaged while meat weighing about 1000 kilograms was seized from the spot. The samples of the meat have also been taken from the spot which will be sent to the forensic lab for treatment.
