Governor felicitates Ranchi DC among others for good work during elections

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu felicitated the district electoral officers cum DCs of Ranchi, Bokaro and Hazaribagh for their effective role in conducting peaceful and fair elections in their respective areas during the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections which were held in the year 2019.

In a function held at the Aryabhatt auditorium here Ms Murmu felicitated the officials which was organised on the occasion of the national voters day. Speaking on the occasion she said that the say was important as with the vote of the people only a strong democracy can be formed. She called on the youth to remain alert and aware and also create awareness among the others.

Chief Electoral Officer of the state Vinay Kumar Chopubey said that under sveep many programmes for voter awareness was carried out in the city whose benefits were seen in the elections. During the function old age voters, divyang voters, first-time voters were felicitated while voter ids among new voters were also distributed.

Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpet Rey later said that the honour is for the entire Team Ranchi as all the results were achieved due to their efforts. He said that the honour was for all the officials and staff and hoped that Team Ranchi will continue to keep the good work for the betterment of the district in future also.
