Ranchi: An ultra of the TPC has been arrested from the Chandwa Police Station area of this district.
Addressing a press conference here SDPO Virendra Ram said in a joint operation conducted by the police and CRPF 133rd battalion the ultra was nabbed from Gardag forest under Chandwa Police Station Area.
The SDPO said that Latehar SP Prashant Anand had received a tip off following which raid was conducted and the man was nabbed who has been identified as Sakindra Ganjhu. He said that 25-30 TPC ultras were holding a meeting in Gardag forest however as soon as they saw the police they started to flee.
Police chased the ultras and managed to arrest one of them. During checking a pouch was recovered from him in which 152 cartridges were recovered.
The SDPO said that on the spot where the miscreants were holding the meeting a couple of empty magazines, three copies and naxal literature was recovered.
