Pakur (RP Service): Police has arrested a person along with country-made liquor which he was trying to smuggle into the neighbouring state of West Bengal from Muffasil Police Station area of this district and also recovered a Bolero laden full of liquor.
Police sources said that during a vehicle checking drive the driver tried to dodge the police and run away but was later caught by the police. During the search 110 bottles full of country-made liquor was seized and the driver Haja Mandal alias Jaidev was arrested.
He said that the liquor was been transported to Bahgalur under Samreshgunj Police Station area of West Bengal. Acting on the information transferred by him police conducted a raid in Beldanga village and seized equipment involved in liquor manufacturing.
