Ranchi: Jailed former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav celebrated the festival of Makar-Sankranti by eating ‘Dahi-Chura and Tikut’ at the paying ward of RIMS here.
The doctors treating Mr Yadav at the hospital said that since it was an important religious function therefore he was allowed to complete the ritual and consume the items in a limited amount.
On the other hand, many RJD workers from Bihar also lined up outside the hospital with their gifts of ‘Dahi-Chura and Tilkut’ for their leader.
On Tuesday also droves of party leaders and workers had brought these items for Mr Yadav at RIMS. On the other hand in case number RC 47A/96 of the fodder scam which is related to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 139 crore from Doranda Treasury Mr Yadav is scheduled to appear before a special CBI court at 1030hrs on Thursday.
