Hazaribagh: An inmate serving life imprisonment at the Jai Prakash Narayan Central Jail in this district committed suicide by hanging himself.
The deceased has been identified as Yogesh Kumar Chouhan. He hailed from Jharia of Dhanbad district. Jail authorities said that he was shifted from Dhanbad a week ago and was battling mental illness-related issues.
Jail authorities said that he was also being provided treatment for his problems. Sources claimed that the man had used he pyjamas to hang himself. He was awarded life imprisonment in a murder case.
