Garhwa: Police have arrested a total of 8 criminals including six members of an interstate vehicle loot gang from Ambikapur road of this district.
Garhwa SP Ashwini Kumar Sinha in a press conference here said that police had received a tip-off that some miscreants were planning a looting incident on the road going towards Anaraj Dam following which a police team conducted raids and arrested six criminals along with 6 mobile phones three loaded desi kattas and 6 live cartridges.
The police later also recovered a truck and a four-wheeler which had been looted by the gang members.
He said that the arrest of these criminals will help to bring out incidents of loot taking place on Highways in Jharkhand the neighbouring state of Chhattisgarh. Further, the SP said that a couple of dacoits have been arrested by the police from Meral Police Station area
