Ultras of TPC create havoc in Latehar and Palamu, set Hyvas on fire

Latehar/Palamu: Ultras belonging to the TPC created havoc in these as they set on fire a couple of hyvas and other machines in these districts.

In Latehar under Chandwa Police Station area work is on to lay the third railway track at the Mahua Milan Railway Station. The ultras of the TPC set on fire a hyva and different machines and also fired several rounds in the air to create panic.

Police said that several armed ultras reached the spot and set the vehicles on fire in the area.

Post the incident they also left behind handwritten pamphlets in which they have warned the contractor not to execute the work without prior permission from the organization. Police suspected that the incident was executed for the want of levy.

In a separate incident under Chattarpur Police Station area of the Palamu district, a hyva that was loaded with stones was set on fire by the ultras. Police said that the vehicle was going after loading stones from a mine near Munkeri village when a group of 10 armed TPC ultras reached on the spot.

They asked the driver to douse the headlights of the vehicle but as he did not obey they shot on the tires, beat up the driver and set the vehicle on fire. By the time the police could reach the ultras had fled from the spot.
