Koderma: Body of a woman has been recovered from a well at Pethiabagi village under Jainagar Police Station area of this district.
The deceased has been identified has Sunita Devi (20). Upon receiving information a police team reached on the spot and sent the body for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital. The family members of the deceased demanding arrest of her in-laws for murder blocked the traffic movement on Koderma-Jainagar road.
The agitation was called off after the intervention of the local administration who assured speedy arrest of the culprits. The kin of the woman said that she has married twenty months ago but soon after the wedding she was harassed by her husband and in-laws for additional dowry.
The father of the deceased said that on Sunday his son-in-law informed that their daughter was missing from the house and after he along with other relatives reached the village and launched a search during which the body was found from the well while the husband and his parents managed to flee from the village.
