Now challan for breaking traffic signals to reach homes directly: Ranchi SSP

Ranchi (By our correspondent): SSP Anish Gupta said that in 17 locations of the city Automatic Number Plate Reader cameras have been put up and would be made operational from November 15 onwards after which in case of any violation of traffic rules the challans would be directly sent to the home of the offenders.

Addressing the press at the collectorate here he said that apart from that at 25 locations face recognized cameras have been put up for which the database of people coming to the city will be prepared and will also help to identify such criminals who come from outside and execute crime in the city.

He said that since June so far in 99 cases speedy trial has been done in which in 72 cases punishment has been announced and described the cracking of Narendra Singh Horra case a major success for the police. Over the loot, at three petrol pumps in a single day in the city, he said that the crime has been executed by one particular gang and soon they would be nabbed.
