Jamtara (By our correspondent): The Jharkhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has issued a notice to Congress party’s Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari after the legislator shared a picture of a rape victim and her family in the social media.
In the notice which has been issued by JSCPCR chairperson Aarti Kujur and addressed to Jharkhand DGP it has been said that by making the photo viral the MLA has violated section 74(I) and (III) of JJ Act 2015, Section 23 of Pocso Act 2012 and IPC section 228 (A) and has asked the DGP to take action against the MLA and inform the commission within 15 days on the action taken.
A few days ago a 4-year-old girl was raped in Jamtara. The minor was undergoing treatment in the hospital and its pictures were shared by the MLA along with the family members of the victim on various social media platforms.
