3 taken into custody for distributing money during polling in Ghatshila

Jamshedpur: Police have taken into custody three people who were distributing money outside a polling booth in Bhakar village of Gudabandha under Ghatshila Assembly area of the East Singhbhum district.

Those taken into custody been identified as Devishankar Dutta alias Kabu Dataa and his two other associates. Police said that the villagers themselves alerted the police in this regard.

The villagers complained that Dutta with his other men was handing cash to the people and was asking them to vote for a particular party.

Upon receiving information a police team along with the local BDO reached on the spot and caught the trio red-handed from outside booth number 192 of Bhakar school. The trio are being further questioned.
