Jharkhand best performing state in education: Mahesh Poddar

Ranchi: BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar said Jharkhand has taken a giant leap in the area of education, governance, agriculture etc.

Addressing a press conference here he quoted a report published in a magazine in which Jharkhand had been ranked as the best-performing state in the area of education.

He said that the report has been published on the basis of survey carried out by a renowned agency that was carried out across different states. He said that the senior leadership of the party is of the view that there was a need to improve human resources in the state.

He said that in the last five years the state government has taken many initiatives to improve the education system in the state. The MP said that in the area of governance the state has jumped five places and is ranked currently at the 10th spot. Poddar said that due to unstable governments in the previous 14 years development was hit and even an independent was made the Chief Minister here.

He said that one area in which the state has made rapid progress in agriculture and said that Prime Minister has already talked about doubling the income of the farmers of the state. He pointed out that the state has also performed better in the area of welfare scheme, providing power and water and in tourism sectors.
