Raghubar flags off train full of devotees to Puri

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister flagged off a train from Hatia railway station carrying devotees to the religious town of Puri under
the Mukyamantri Teerth Yojana.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Das said that like a religious son who should take his old parents to Teerth Yatra he too being a son of the state was sending the old and poor people to these religious places as part of his ‘dharma’. He said that with this very thought the project was started in the year 2016 and so far more than 5000 people have been sent to different places of religious importance. He said that every old person has a desire to undertake Teerth Yatra during his lifetime and along with these old men a member of their family is also travelling and all their expenses are being borne by the state government.

Mr Das urged all the people to pray for the well being and seeks blessings for removal of poverty from the state along with well being of their families and loved ones. Mr Das said that the state government is also sending children on education tours so that their mental growth can take place and their confidence is on par with those of the private schools and a large number of students have taken advantage of the scheme.

The Chief Minister on the occasion announced that Kumbh Mela is starting and the government will send poor people on its expenses to take a dip in holy Ganga during the Kumbh mela. He also urged the people to participate in the run for unity programme on October 31 and said that by participating in the run all have to give the message of unity.

Those who also addressed on the occasion included Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Sudarshan Bhagat, Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon, Urban Development Minister C P Singh. Others who graced the function included Ranchi MP Ramtahal Chowdhary, MLA s Jeetu Charan Ram, Gangotri Kujur and others.
