Jharkhand Govt holds road show in Kolkata for Global Agriculture and Food Summit

Ranchi (By our correspondent): In wake of the Global Agriculture and Food Summit which is slated in the state on November 29 and 30 the Jharkhand government on Monday organised a roadshow in Kolkata.

Addressing the function agriculture secretary Pooja Singhal said that the state government was committed for the development of the agriculture sector and wanted to ensure that farmers get the right price of their products and markets for their goods. She said that to attract the investors to invest in the state the global summit is being organised in which investors from inside and outside of the country will participate.

A video on why to invest in Jharkhand was also shown while agriculture director Ramesh Gholap gave a presentation on agriculture scenario in the state. On the other hand industries director, K Ravikumar shared information on food processing sector in Jharkhand. 

The event was also attended by industries secretary Vinay Choubey, FMCG ITC Ltd Chairman B Sumant, Mother Dairy Finance Head Abhishek Kumar, Communication Director of Moreish Bakery Anvita Singh and others. Later meetings were also held with other business delegations.
