Hemant and JMM have filed their own pockets in the name of tribals: Meenakshi Lekhi

Ranchi: BJP MP and party’s national spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi attacked Leader of Opposition Hemant Soren alleging that JMM and its leaders have done nothing for the community apart from filling their own pockets.

Addressing a press conference here she said Hemant Soren has said that he did not need the votes of the non-tribals in these elections as if he has done many things for the tribals but in reality he did not provide jobs, build toilets, construct homes under PMAY and provide the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to the people.

The truth is that it was the government of Chief Minister Raghubar Das which provided power in 30 lakh homes, distributed gas cylinders among the women under Ujjawal Yojana and all these works were done in the five years as both in the centre and state same parties were in power. She said that it is the people who are at an advantage when a double engine government is in power.

Reacting after Congress candidate from Daltonganj KN Tripathi was found showing his arms in the open she said that the real face of the Congress party has been exposed post this incident. She said that the image reminded her of the old days when booths were looted and on gunpoint, people were forced to vote.

Ms Lekhi said that the alliance between JMM and Congress was un-natural as the Congress party can not remain away from power and wants to occupy the chair at any cost. She said that it was Hemant Soren who had also removed regional languages from JPSC which was only restored when BJP came into power.
