Raghubar compares BJP manifesto with Geeta and Bible, says 90 percent promises made during polls of 2014 completed by party

Ranchi : Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das compared the ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) of the BJP as a ‘sacred book’ similar to the likes of Geeta, Quran and Bible and said that the party had fulfilled 90 percent of the promises which it had made to the people during the assembly elections of 2014.

Speaking after the BJP unveiled its manifesto for the assembly polls of 2019 he said that after coming to power his government had pledged to end corruption, stop the transfer and posting industry and started the Mukyamantri Sukanya Yojana to make better the lives of the girls of the state.

He said that the party had taken pledge to empower the women as part of which they were given the task of preparing the mid-day meal, prepare ready to eat food, their packaging and delivering them to the Anganwadi centers which is now being done by the women similarly the promise of registry of property in the name of women at Rs 1 is being done in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the BJP government was committed for the development f the farmers and due to the double engine government under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana they were getting Rs 6,000 similarly under Mujyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana they were eligible for money worth Rs 25,000.

He said that the government had also taken a pledge to provide free coaching facilities to the tribals youth of the state which was also fulfilled.

Attacking the Congress and regional parties of the state he said that they in the name of domicile policy have played with the future of the youth for the last 14 years and pointed that the JMM had withdrawn the support from Arjun Munda government over the domicile policy but despite remaining for more than a year in power it did nothing on the police and when his government came into power within six months the policy was defined and jobs were provided to the locals.

He said that in the days to come Jharkhand will be taken further on the path of progress. He said that due to previous weak governments the administration remained also weak and for the progress it was important to have a ‘Majboot Sarkar’ and asked the people to vote for a strong government and in return, he promised to give back a ‘Majboot Jharkhand’.

He said that during the five years of his rule it was ensured that development reaches to all without any discrimination and claimed that he had provided a corruption-free and scam-free government in the state after following the policy of zero tolerance over corruption.

On the maoists problem he said that in the last five years only one or two major incidents have taken place in the state and urged the maoists to surrender and join the mainstream of life. He said that if they would continue to challenge the democracy than law will take its own course.
