Special meet of South Chottanagpur division of BJP held at Neelkanth’s residence

Ranchi (By our correspondent): A special meet of the South Chottanagpur division of the BJP was held at the residence of Rural
Development Minister Neelkanth Singh Munda here during which the task of collecting mud from the birthplaces of the great martyrs of the state was discussed.

Addressing the meeting state general secretary of the party Deepak Prakash said the mud collection will be held at the panchayat level from January 9 to 16, at block level on January 18 and January 19 at district level and on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose on January 23 they would be brought to the old jail premises in Ranchi where the museum of the martyrs is to be built. 

Speaking on the occasion Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Sudarshan Bhagat said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address from Red Fort had recalled the contribution of all the martyrs of the state including Bhagwan Birsa Munda and was running various programmes across the nation in honour of such great men. Mr Bhagat said that the statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel is one such example.

Mr Neelkanth Singh Munda said that the state government was committed to honour all the great martyrs of the state and has taken a historical decision to build a museum in their remembrance. The event was also attended by Urban Development Minister C P Singh, party MLAs and office bearers. In the meeting ,it was also decided to organise the district unit meets for the areas falling under the division in the month of November
