Since govt formation good governance has been priority for government: Raghubar Das

Koderma (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that since the formation of the state government good governance has been a priority for him. Addressing a gram chaupal organised at Indarwa Birsa Munda football stadium here he said before 2014 Jharkhand was known to be a corrupt state but after formation of the government the image has improved to a large
extent and so far on his government not a single charge of corruption has been levelled.

He said that the state government has taken steps to curb corruption as it will cause losses to the poor. Mr Das said that for the benefit of the poor farmers and the villages the state government has realised many welfare schemes on the ground and to make their proper implementation IT is being used and works are being done online and with its use role of middlemen has been removed.

He said that birth and death income and residential certificates are all being made online in the state. On the occasion, he also laid foundation stones and inaugurated schemes worth Rs 300.22 crore. He said that by the year 2022 there would be no person without home education or medicines.

He said that for women empowerment the state government is providing loans to the women self help groups and by laying a network of sma and cottage industries jobs are being created at the rural level. Mr Das said that the state government has allotted Rs 700 crore for skill development of the youth as trained manpower can only make a prosperous state.
