Daltonganj (RP Service): In a joint action by the excise department and the Palamu police raids were conducted against illegal liquor trade business in various areas located under different police station areas of the Palamu district following which huge quantity of illegal liquor was seized and a person was arrested in this connection.
Police sources said that in the past two days raids were conducted against illegal liquor in Panki and Lesligunj Police Station area during which 102 litres of illegal liquor and 180 kilograms of jawa mahua was seized and a person arrested while named FIR against 8 others was registered.
On Saturday also raids was conducted in several localities under the town police station area during which 5 litres of beer and 10 litres of illegal liquor was seized and fir registered against a couple of men in the case.
