JMM expels Akeel Akhtar and 3 others for anti party activities

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has expelled its central secretary and former Pakur MLA along with three other leaders for a period of six years for being involved in anti-party activities.

JMM’s general secretary Binod Kumar Pandey said that apart from Akhtar central members Saroj Lakra Hembrom from Gumla and Nirmala Bharti along with Ranthu Oraon district secretary Lohardaga have been all relieved from the organisational posts and have been also expelled from the primary membership of the party for the next six years.

Earlier in the day Akhtar joined the AJSU party in presence of party supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto and will be contesting the elections from Pakur seat as AJSU nominee.

As per the seat sharing agreement between JMM and Congress the Pakur seat went to the national party from where Congress legislature wing leader Aalamgir Aalam will be once again contesting.
