Giridih: Four cyber criminals have been arrested from Chiksoriya village under Ahilyapur Police Station area of this district.
Police said following a tipoff regarding presence of cyber criminals in the area a police team conducted raids and spotted a group of youth talking on phone near a forest.
Upon seeing the police the youth started running who were chased and caught. The four were later identified as Vishanath Kumar Mandal, Rajendra Mandal, Kailash Mandal and Santosh Kumar Mandal from whom many mobile phones, sim cards, ATM cards, two motorcycles, and Rs 25,000 in cash was recovered.
Police said that the arrested use to pose as bank officials and collected the ATM card number and OTP number from the people and later duped them of their money.
