JMM asks ticket applicants to apply with Rs 51,000

Jamshedpur: For those who want to contest the Assembly Elections on the ticket of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will have to pay a sum of Rs 51000 along with their application as then only their request would be considered.

Party’s Central General Secretary Vinod Pandey has written a letter to all the district unit chiefs in which he has directed them to receive the applications along with the money however this move has generated resentment in the party with Central committee member Babar Khan writing a letter to the acting president of the party Hemant Soren over the issue.

On the other hand following the directions of Mr Pandey Jamshedpur district Ramdas Soren held a meeting in Bhalubasa in which applications of the candidates was taken but none of them have so far fulfilled the money criteria.

Khan on the other hand in his letter said that he was a member of the central committee and was working in the party organisations in 1989 and was also a ticket aspirant from Jamshedpur West however he said that the issue was not clear whether demanding the application fee was a decision of an individual or the central committee.

Khan said that it was indeed very painful for such workers who have given their sweat and blood for the organisation of the party and are now been asked to pay the money. He himself pointed his case that he had face about a dozen political cases in which he had to spent lakhs of rupees.
